All project turbines maintain a
minimum 3,000-foot property line setback, and the closest distance to any home is nearly one mile. The majority of residential areas are bordered by 50-foot trees, eliminating visibility for most. Also, a ridgeline exists between the project and nearby population centers, which provides additional natural cover for the project.
Visual Representations of Scotia Wind
Photographs were taken from various locations throughout Adams Township to illustrate what you will and will not see from these viewpoints. These photographs were used by an independent third-party engineering firm, Saratoga Associates, to develop the visual representations.

Note: Turbines and distances in these images are to scale. Turbines will not actually be yellow – this color was used to enhance the ability to see the turbines in the photos. When constructed, the turbines will have a gray to white coating that best blends with the sky.

This graphic shows a line of site from South Range Baseball Field to the location of Turbine A - illustrating why this turbine is not visible from the baseball field due to trees, ridges, and buildings.
This analysis for the other 11 turbines, at this location, would demonstrate the same conclusion.
